#1757 | Non- Destruc Test Trainee - 1st Shift

POSITION SUMMARY: The NDT Trainee is responsible for actively participating in a structured training program to become certified in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). This role will be reporting to NDT Level 3 and involves assisting with testing procedures, following safety regulations, and gaining hands-on experience in the field. ESSENTIAL DUDTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Document participation in a training program for stated NDT method.  * Obtain experience under the direct observation of a Level 2 or Level in the same method.  * Gain experience under the direct observation of a Level 1 or instructor when approved by the responsible Level 3.  * Assist with NDT inspections but do not independently conduct tests or make accept/reject decisions. * Support department staff as needed.  * Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICIATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma or GED.  * Ability to communicate, read, and understand English. * Ability to read blueprints and drawings. * Ability to follow precise instructions. * Ability to work around hazardous chemicals.  * Excellent hand-eye coordination. * Strong teamwork and communication skills.  * Ability to multitask and willingness to work overtime as needed. ITAR REQUIREMENT: Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Walking/standing for prolonged periods. * Exposure to heat, noise, and chemical fumes in production areas. * Good hand-eye coordination and repetitive hand movements.
