2027 Private Equity Associate

Position Summary Vista Equity Partners’ Associate position provides an immersive training and hands-on experience to develop valuation, due diligence and deal execution skills, as well as the best practices of portfolio company management. Working with investment professionals of all levels, learn from the ground-up how a sector-specific private equity investor identifies, evaluates, and executes on new opportunities. Simultaneously, exposure to portfolio company management teams will strengthen your c-suite business acumen and ability to identify operational improvement initiatives. Associates at Vista will gain the skills and knowledge critical to success as a private equity investor. The Associate program is 2–3-year commitment. Given the unique investing philosophy and operating model that Vista employs, the firm invests heavily in the development of all of its professionals and seeks candidates who have a preference for building a long-term career within the Vista family. Responsibilities Evaluate and execute on investment opportunities in the technology industry (incl. platform and add-on investments) Conduct due diligence and develop detailed operating and financial models Develop investment theses to target new investment opportunities Work closely with Board Members and Vista Consulting Group to implement operational best practices Analyze and help execute potential exit opportunities Qualifications Exceptional analytical, financial, and business judgment skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interest in investing, financial markets, and technology industry sectors and trends High level of personal and professional maturity Exceptional work ethic and a deep sense of accountability Demonstrated ability to internalize feedback and improve through coaching and training Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative Ability to work well independently and as part of a team The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be $140,000. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
