Accounting Assistant

Position Summary Provide support to the Controller with Accounts Payable and all other Controller related tasks as requested PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  * Process Accounts Payable daily / as needed * Maintain general ledger accuracy and account reconciliations spreadsheets * Assist in the HR department with safety, work comp claims, and onboarding * Inventory preparation and participate in inventory counting * Maintain COI logs and forward copies upon request * Assist with weekly payroll processing * Keep all excel spreadsheets up to date as invoices are received * Process Account Payable checks twice week Required Qualifications * 1+ years of accounting experience * Strong knowledge of financial reporting * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills * Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills * Comply with all industry privacy standards and data protection protocols We Offer Health, dental, & vision insurance after 30 days Paid time off; including vacation days, sick days, and nine paid holidays Company-paid life insurance 401k Employee Assistance Program Superior Home Products is a Missouri-owned and operated company, serving the St. Louis metro area since 1984.
