Join us to build the future.   Your Impact As an Accounting Intern, you will support the integrity and accuracy of Accelevation’s financial information by assisting with transaction processing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support activities. You will gain hands-on experience with accounting operations, financial controls, and month-end close processes while contributing meaningful work that supports the organization’s financial success. This internship provides valuable exposure to corporate accounting practices, financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.   Internship Overview An internship at Accelevation is not a summer of shadowing and busy work. We design, manufacture, and install the critical infrastructure that powers some of the world's most advanced technologies. As an intern, you will work alongside industry experts on meaningful projects with real deadlines, real responsibilities, and real impact.   You will collaborate with engineers, manufacturing leaders, and project managers who are solving complex challenges and shaping the future of critical infrastructure. From our manufacturing center in Southwest Ohio to the mission-critical environments behind many of the world's largest data centers, you will gain firsthand exposure to how innovative ideas become reality.   More importantly, you will build lasting connections. You will join a cohort of interns who learn and grow together, while developing relationships with mentors who will support your career long after your internship ends. You will leave with new skills, meaningful relationships, and a deeper understanding of how your work can help build the future.   Your Responsibilities * Support administration of the company’s travel and expense reporting system, including reviewing reports for policy compliance and assisting employees with submissions * Research and escalate expense report discrepancies when necessary * Prepare general ledger account reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation * Assist with journal entry preparation and processing * Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities within established deadlines * Assist with preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors * Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested * Review and update recurring journal entries as needed * Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards * Assist in documenting accounting procedures, internal controls, and process improvements * Collaborate with team members on special projects and other assigned duties Qualifications * Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or recently graduated * Exposure to accounting coursework and basic understanding of U.S. GAAP preferred * High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee, customer, and financial information * Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook * Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment * Basic analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills * Eagerness to learn accounting processes, systems, and best practices Benefits * Hands-on accounting and finance experience * Exposure to financial reporting, audit support, and month-end close activities * Mentorship from experienced accounting and finance professionals * Collaborative, high-energy workplace * Opportunity to contribute to meaningful business initiatives * Potential career development opportunities within a rapidly growing organization Our Core Values * Safety - We proactively protect our people and environment * Inclusion - We respect and appreciate diverse perspectives and backgrounds * Speed - We move fast, act decisively, and stay agile * Innovation - We challenge assumptions and simplify processes * Judgment - We make sound decisions with the business in mind * Accountability - We take ownership and deliver results Physical Demands and Work Environment Employees must be able to communicate effectively and work in a professional office environment. This position requires extensive computer use, financial analysis, document review, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, typing, viewing computer screens, reviewing reports, and preparing financial documentation. Employees may occasionally be required to stand, walk, or move throughout office and manufacturing areas as needed. The work environment is primarily office-based with moderate noise levels. Occasional interaction with auditors, business leaders, and cross-functional teams may be required.
