What You'll Do
* Validate data transfer by assisting in the accurate migration of data from
the legacy system to the new agency software.
* Record transactions in the legacy system to verify payment accuracy and
assist in closing old balances.
* Assist in preparing general journal entries for various business transactions
under the guidance of accounting staff.
* Support reconciliation of payables with our binding authority to ensure
accurate bordereaux payments.
* Prepare and review expense reclassification entries in the agency software.
* Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations by identifying, researching,
and assisting in resolving discrepancies, ensuring proper documentation and
compliance with financial reporting standards.
* Process and reconcile claims and survey payables in accordance with financial
regulations, insurance syndicate policies, and company guidelines.
* Document accounting process and general journal entry procedures ensuring
consistent publishing and referencing of documentation/file save location.
