Apprentice Lineman

Apprentice Lineman Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.   Saber Power Services are seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Apprentice Lineman to assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical power lines. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in the utility and high voltage industry. Under the supervision of Journeyman Linemen and Foremen, the Apprentice Lineman will receive on-the-job training while contributing to active power line projects. Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist with the installation and maintenance of high voltage overhead and underground distribution lines. * Climb poles and operate bucket trucks and other equipment under supervision. * String wire, install transformers, cross arms, insulators, switches, and other T&D equipment. * Load, unload, and organize materials and tools on the job site. * Perform groundman duties including setting poles, pulling wire, and rigging. * Participate in tailboard safety meetings and follow all safety procedures. * Learn to read line maps, blueprints, and work orders. * Support storm restoration and emergency outage response as needed. * Perform other job-related duties as requested by management. Requirements: * High school diploma or GED. * Enrolled in or willing to enter a certified Lineman Apprenticeship Program. * Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools. * Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. * Strong physical condition; ability to lift up to 75 lbs. * Valid CDL Class A or ability to obtain one within 6 months. * Willingness to travel for projects and storm restoration work. * Ability to pass drug test, background check, and fit-for-duty exam.  Preferred Qualifications: * OSHA 10 or 30 certification. * CPR/First Aid certification. * Previous experience on a line crew, utility contractor, or relevant trade school training.
