Although Zinpro is headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, this position may be based anywhere within the United States and requires variable domestic travel of up to 50%; opportunities may also exist to work in different regions of the country to gain exposure to diverse customers and markets, with potential relocation opportunities discussed as part of career development and evolving business needs. Salary Range: The base salary listed is a range. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. With their guidance and support, this position manages defined sales activities and selected accounts, identifies growth opportunities, and collaborates with technical and cross-functional colleagues to deliver value-based solutions. This role is designed for someone beginning a professional sales career and developing the skills needed to build strategic customer relationships, drive profitable growth and deliver value-based solutions. Essential Functions  Account Ownership * Manage day-to-day commercial activities for assigned customers or developing accounts, with guidance and support from the sales team. * Serve as a commercial point of contact for assigned customers and coordinate responses with Customer Service, Technical Services and other internal partners. * Own a defined portfolio of smaller or developing accounts and expand responsibility as commercial capability and business needs evolve. Strategic Account Planning and Growth * Build trusted relationships with customer contacts and develop an understanding of their business goals, operating environment and needs. * Plan and conduct customer meetings appropriate to the assigned account scope, document customer needs and ensure timely follow-up on commitments. * Identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and support profitable account growth. Cross-Functional Coordination * Partner with Species Specialists and Technical Services to connect customer needs with relevant animal nutrition expertise and Zinpro solutions.  * Coordinate with Marketing, Customer Service, Product Development and other functions to support consistent customer experience.  * Coordinate responsibilities, timelines and follow-up actions among internal contributors supporting assigned customers.  Sales Reporting and Performance * Maintain accurate monthly sales reporting, forecasting and growth analyses for assigned accounts  * Prepare accurate monthly sales reporting, forecasts and account or market analyses for the assigned portfolio.  * Monitor relevant market, customer and competitor activity and share observations with the sales team.  * Use company resources responsibly, including travel expenses, marketing funds and company-provided tools.  Brand Representation * Represent Zinpro at trade shows, association meetings and industry events to strengthen brand presence and identify opportunities for new relationships and strategic partnerships.   Qualifications  Minimum Required: * Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business, Agribusiness, Marketing or related field * 0-2 years of related sales, internship, customer service, agriculture or animal industry experience.  * Demonstrated interest in agricultural sales and developing knowledge of animal nutrition and the feed or livestock industry.  * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate professionally.  * Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn through coaching, feedback and hands-on experience.  * Ability to organize priorities, follow through on commitments and work effectively across teams.  * Ability to travel and maintain any required driving credentials for the assigned location.    Preferred: * Previous internship or work experience related to sales, agriculture, animal production, feed or nutrition.  * Experience preparing presentations, analyzing basic data or using customer relationship management tools.  * Knowledge of the animal segment or geographic market supported by the role.    Work Environment and Physical Requirements  The work environment consists of a multiple different environment: standard office, long periods in a motor vehicle, farms, animal producers, manufacturing facilities, and/or at client/customers facilities.    Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.      Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.    Schedule Requirements  This position is expected to work within core business hours and requires participation in after-hours and weekend calls, customer/client events & meetings, and industry events. Travel Requirements This position requires variable domestic travel of up to 50% and may include opportunities to work in different regions of the country to gain exposure to diverse customers and markets.
