CDL A Truck Driver

An ideal candidate is a reliable, dependable team player with experience doing route deliveries in a semi-truck.   Branch: All Tile - CCS in Wood Dale, IL Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, start time will be 5:00am until routes finished Pay: Starting at $30/hr depending on experience    **ELIGIBLE FOR A $3K HIRING BONUS: Paid out incrementally at 60, 90, 180 business days**   Responsibilities * Loading and unloading merchandise with forklifts and pallet jacks. * Verify loads for accuracy. * Deliver merchandise to the destination safely and on schedule. * Perform pre/post-trip inspections. * Provide excellent customer service to our customers during deliveries. * Obey and follow applicable traffic laws. * Maintain ELOG and comply with all DOT and FMCSA regulations. * Report defects, accidents, and violations. * Communicate and coordinate with dispatch and customer care team on deliveries. * Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required. Qualifications Education & Experience * High School Diploma or equivalent degree. * Knowledge of Customer Service Fundamentals, Over the Road (OTR) Transportation Routing, OSHA, and DOT. * Minimum of 1 year experience in Commercial Transportation with CDL. Other Qualifications * Must have a CDL (Class A) and pass DOT-required physical and related drug tests. * Able to pass additional pre-employment screening required by the company. * Experience driving a forklift is a plus. * Experience in the flooring industry is a plus. * Ability to work with details such as vendor item numbers, vendor catalogs, customer lists, phone systems, and ERP software. * Ability to learn core computer competencies with general operating systems for orders and related functions. * Legally permitted to work in the United States.
