Civil Engineer - Land Development EIT (May 2027)

Summary The Project Engineer position is a great opportunity to start your career with a team focused on commercial land development projects, typically ranging from 1–5 acres. Each week brings new opportunities to learn and solve problems related to site planning, grading, utility design, and stormwater management. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, gaining exposure to projects from the early planning stages through construction. Work Location: On-site with flexible work arrangements Pay Rate Type: Hourly with overtime rate of 1.5x base pay for all hours worked over 40 in a week (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications) Projected start date: May 2027 Responsibilities Apply engineering fundamentals to prepare complete and accurate project documents at key project milestones Assist with the design of commercial land development projects, including site layout, grading, utilities, and stormwater management Prepare a variety of plans and exhibits, from early concept drawings and preliminary designs through construction documents. Assist Project Managers with design coordination between clients, contractors, geotechnical consultants, surveyors, and other project disciplines Review survey and other project information and incorporate it into design plans Perform basic engineering calculations and assist with technical reports and project documentation Participate in project meetings and communicate with team members to help keep projects moving forward Learn and apply applicable local, state, and industry standards to project designs Work collaboratively with other engineers, surveyors, and project team members to develop practical solutions for clients.
