As a Spring 2027 intern, you will gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering firm and understand the complete site development process, from concept to construction. By working alongside engineers, designers, and project managers, you will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.   What You’ll Do * Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm * Learn the stages of the land development and site design process * Enhance your technical skills with hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design: * Concept plans * Grading plans * Stormwater management plans * Utility system plans * Soil erosion and sediment control plans * Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to coordinate and drive projects forward * Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions * Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action * Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements   What We Offer * A supportive and collaborative environment focused on learning and professional growth * Exposure to a variety of land development and site design projects * Mentorship and hands-on training from experienced engineers and project leaders * Opportunities to explore the civil engineering profession and gain insight into real client work * Networking opportunities through office events, community engagement, and team-building activities   What You’ll Bring * Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field * Effective written and verbal communication skills * A self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively * Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred; training provided if not yet proficient) * Curiosity and motivation to learn within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment * Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving Start your engineering career with real-world experience.
