Position: Data Entry Operator Trainee Job Overview: Under direct supervision of the Department Supervisor and manager this is an in-training capacity to determine suitability for Data Entry Operator work. Job Duties: * Must actively participate in training and gaining knowledge of data entry operations specific to each client, account, etc. * Learn and show ability to process checks for daily deposit, ensuring that all payments are entered accurately. * Learn and show ability to enter and balance employer reports and self-pay remittances in a timely and accurate manner. * Use basic math skills to find and process employer reporting and associated discrepancies and errors. * Learn how to index documents on a continual basis for electronic retrieval and display this knowledge while working the role. * Learn and create and maintain member records as needed. * Must work efficiently, effectively and professional while providing assistance to team members. * Must show continuous improvement, ability to increase volume of workload, be able to adapt to changing procedures and duties, ability to work independently and as a productive team member. * Learn and demonstrate use and understanding of duties as described for position title “Data Entry Specialist”. * Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: * Working knowledge of basic office equipment * Demonstrated ability to keep calm and positive within all communications. * Display proficiency in 10-key by touch. * Exhibit professional appearance with excellent verbal communication skills required. * Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, and staff in other departments. * Demonstrated skills in grammar, letter composition, punctuation, and other related office skills. * Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and external clients. * Requires a dependable attendance record * Proven ability to use basic math skills to find and troubleshoot discrepancies and errors within role capacity. * Proven ability to accurately and timely review all entered information * 1 year of general office experience * Utilize computer and phone systems to be able to effectively perform the essential functions of the position. * Previous experience utilizing Microsoft office software * High school diploma or G.E.D Preferred Qualifications: * 1 years of office experience in a high-volume data entry capacity * 2 years of college experience in a related field- do not have to have an associate degree Physical/Mental Requirements: The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
