DIESETTER TRAINEE

Under supervision, Die Setter Trainee will build a working knowledge to provide superior technical support to all manufacturing departments by performing accurate and timely tool installations & service calls to ensure the production of high quality powder metal products in the most efficient manner possible.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Essential Function satisfactorily. The items listed below are representative of these essential functions for this role and may not be a comprehensive list of duties, responsibilities, or expectations.  1. Learns to start, stop and make adjustments to all presses. 2. Learns simple to complex tool installations in a timely manner on a variety of compaction & sizing presses as well as the auxiliary equipment supporting them for all manufacturing departments. 3. Operates and adjusts machines until target parameters for parts have been achieved and seeks to minimize reject rate. 4. Is responsible for performing routine cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of compacting and sizing tooling and machines. 5. Responsible for providing effective communication within all manufacturing departments and other applicable personnel. 6. Handle all applicable powder handling responsibilities. This includes retrieving powder from inventory, loading powder into the presses & Plex MIS, cleaning the powder delivery system on the presses and removing scrap powder or unused powder from the presses. 7. Follows all established safety rules such as LOCK OUT/TAG OUT procedures and maintains a high degree of safety awareness at all times. 8. Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program. 9. Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of DSB Technologies which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems. 10. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor, including powered industrial truck certifications when applicable. Key Attributes  1. Straightforward in thoughts, speech, and actions.  2.
