DRAFTING INTERN Location Willmar, MN Onsite, Hybrid or Fully Remote Onsite Status Seasonal Reports To Kent Underland FLSA Status Non-Exempt Management Position No Compensation Min $22.00 per hour  Compensation Max $26.00 per hour  POSITION OVERVIEW This position allows an internship to provide an opportunity to gain additional knowledge and skills in this area of interest at RELCO, build professional relationships, and develop an understanding of the manufacturing process. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist with preparing plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software. * Work through rough sketches & specifications from engineers. * Assist with preparing drawings specifications suitable for use in estimating, construction, and communication to third parties outside of the company. * Assist with producing drawings & other written communications concerning projects that are accurate & delivered in a timely manner. * Assemble informational/drawing packets & submit them to appropriate departments or areas. * Handle & file applicable job information & drawings per company policy. * Successfully communicate all applicable information & specifications the products drawn to other departments. * Handle and file pertinent job information & drawings according to company policy. * Assist drafters in day-to-day activities. * Follow all safety procedures when operating machinery. * Keep work area clean & organized so not to present a safety hazard. * Assist with all special projects assigned by supervisor. * Assist with Design/Drafting projects as assigned by supervisor KOVALUES: * CUSTOMER FOCUS: Our decisions and actions are aligned with client needs, enhancing satisfaction and loyalty. * INTEGRITY & COMPLIANCE: Establishes trust and credibility, ensuring that actions and communications are transparent and ethical. QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: Enrolled in college/university for drafting or engineering related degree program.
