Description Early Childhood Teacher St. Therese Early Education Center, Kansas City, MO Full Time August- May Hours: 7:30-3:30 Description St. Therese Early Education Center (EEC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team from August - May. Early Childhood teacher working with children 18 months - 36 months. An ideal candidate for this position has a strong background in early childhood education as well as a genuine love for working with young children. As an Early Childhood Teacher you are responsible for planning during centers, art projects, small groups and supporting the students social emotional development. We are looking for a creative, nurturing and compassionate individual to help shape the educational experiences of our young learners. Responsibilities ? Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. ? Implement lessons that are developmentally appropriate, hands on and engaging ? Instill a love for Christ, and weave Catholic teachings into daily activities. ? Use a variety of methods to assess and monitor students' progress. ? Provide an environment that supports new speech and language skills, finger plays, story time and daily songs. ? Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for all students. ? Instill a love for Christ, and weave Catholic teachings into daily activities. ? Knowledge and ability to change diapers and help with potty training. Requirements ? Early Childhood degree, CDA in child development, Parents as Teachers certification or Bachelor’s in Early Education. ? Experience working with young children in a preschool setting ? Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices. ? Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. ? Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset. ? This position requires standing on multiple floor surfaces, sitting on the floor, and lifting. ?
