Feeder — Heatset Web Printing  Journal Graphics, Inc. | Portland, OR | Full-Time Join a fast-paced print production team where your work keeps our presses running at their best. As a Feeder, you'll support press operations by managing ink, water, plates, and paper, and making sure supplies are always ready to go. This is a great next step for anyone with Jogger experience looking to grow their pressroom career. What You'll Do * Maintain ink, water, and paper in the press * Operate a roll clamp and forklift as needed * Coordinate with the Head Pressperson to ensure the correct plates are bent, packed, and ready for the next job * Monitor printed product for fold quality and imperfections; maintain accurate compensation * Assist with make-ready: hang plates, change blankets, change and set blanket washers * Keep chemical bottles labeled, filled, and stored correctly * Gather job tickets, supply paper to the presses, and return unused stock to inventory * Verify roll stock in Paper Monitor and empty waste bins into the compactor * Remove finished pallets from the presses * Keep your press and surrounding area clean; sweep and mop at least once per shift * Follow all safety guidelines in the Employee Handbook What You Bring * Minimum 6 months of Jogger experience * Full working knowledge of the Jogger position * Ability to read and understand job tickets * Comfort using a computer program to complete paper and ink usage reports * Solid basic math (whole numbers, fractions, decimals) * Strong communication skills * Printing experience a plus Requirements After Hire * Forklift Operator certification within 30 days * Roll Clamp training within 30 days * Annual Lockout/Tagout training BENEFITS *  Medical, dental, and vision insurance *  401(k) *  Paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays) *  Life and disability insurance *  Employee assistance program (EAP) Why Journal Graphics Journal Graphics is a great place to work.
