Fleet Associate

Avfleet.ai runs an electric fleet for rideshare and last-mile delivery in San Francisco. Drivers show up expecting a clean, charged, road-ready car — and this is the role that makes that true. You’ll charge, clean, inspect, and stage the fleet between shifts, handle tires and light maintenance, catch problems before a driver does, and get vehicles where they need to go for service. No fleet experience required. If you’re hands-on, notice details, and like finishing a shift with something visibly done, we’ll teach you the rest. What you’ll do Keep the fleet charged. Rotate vehicles through the chargers, watch state of charge, and make sure every car is ready when the shift starts. Get them clean and staged. Interiors and exteriors to standard, lined up and ready for assignment. Inspect and document. Walk every vehicle, photograph damage, and log what you find while you’re looking at it — not later. Run the work orders. Open and update jobs in Fleetio or similar fleet tracking system, track what’s out of service, and flag anything sitting too long. Handle tires and the light stuff. Tire rotations and replacements, torqued to spec. Tire pressure, fluids, wipers, bulbs. Anything bigger, you escalate rather than improvise. Drive the fleet. Take vehicles to and from service appointments and move them between sites. What you bring Hands-on work experience — automotive, detailing, fleet, warehouse, or something comparable. Or the ability to pick up hands-on work quickly; we’ll train you. A valid California driver’s license and the ability to meet our insurance standards. Driving our vehicles is a core part of this job. You can use a phone or tablet app to run inspections and work orders An eye for detail — you spot the scratch that wasn’t there yesterday Availability for your assigned shift — days, swings, or overnights, and some weekends Legal authorization to work in the United States No degree required. No minimum years of experience. Nice to have EV or charging infrastructure experience Prior tire service or automotive maintenance experience You’ve used Fleetio or similar Detailing experience A second language spoken by our team What it pays $20.00 – $23.00 per hour. This is the good-faith range we reasonably expect to pay on hire; where you land depends on your experience and internal equity. Overtime eligible — time and a half past 8 hours a day or 40 a week. Medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and California paid sick leave. The environment This is outdoor yard work in an active vehicle lot. You’ll be on your feet most of the shift, bending and kneeling to clean and inspect, in and out of vehicles, handling wheels and tires, and working in whatever weather San Francisco gives you. You’ll frequently handle items up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50. Your shift is assigned at hire and may be days, swings, or overnights.
