The Role ---------------------------------------- As an Instrumentation Engineering Intern, you will support engineers and designers working on instrumentation, controls, and automation systems for industrial and infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to technical design tools, project documentation, field conditions, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery while contributing to active assignments with guidance from experienced professionals.   What You’ll Do * Assist with instrument data sheets, specifications, drawings, calculations, reports, and other project documentation.  * Support the design and coordination of instrumentation, control panels, process measurement, and automation systems.  * Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and coordination with process, mechanical, piping, and electrical teams. What You’ll Learn * How instrumentation and control principles, design tools, codes, and technical standards are applied to real projects.  * How instruments are selected and documented for pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other process variables.  * How control narratives, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and system interfaces are coordinated across disciplines. Qualifications Required * Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, Automation Engineering, or a related field.  * Completion of relevant engineering, circuits, controls, programming, or technical coursework.  * Basic understanding of instrumentation, electrical, or control system principles.  * Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office applications. Preferred * Internship, co-op, laboratory, or project experience related to instrumentation, controls, or automation.  * Familiarity with PLCs, DCS platforms, P&IDs, instrument data sheets, or loop diagrams.  * Involvement in ISA, IEEE, or related professional organizations.
