Intern

Mendelia is a YC backed startup helping medical practices manage prior authorizations from start to finish. We’re looking for an intern who wants to work closely with the founders and take ownership of real projects. This is a generalist role: depending on your strengths and interests, you could help improve our operations, research new markets, support customer onboarding, or build tools that make our team more effective. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Work with the founders on projects across operations, product, and growth. * Learn how prior authorizations work and identify ways to make the process faster and easier for practices. * Research potential customers, specialties, and payer workflows. * Help onboard practices and turn their feedback into practical improvements. * Build and maintain simple processes, analyses, and internal tools as we grow. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * You’re curious, resourceful, and comfortable figuring things out as you go. * You communicate clearly and follow through on details. * You enjoy working directly with people and solving problems. * You’re interested in healthcare, startups, AI, or some combination of the three. * You can handle sensitive information with care and professionalism. You don’t need prior healthcare experience. We care more about how quickly you learn and how much ownership you’re willing to take.
