Legal Intern, Privacy

As a Legal Intern focused on Privacy, you will support Fetch's data governance efforts, working closely with our Corporate Counsel, Privacy. You'll gain hands-on exposure to how a fast-growing consumer technology company builds and maintains its privacy and data governance program. This includes participating in and documenting data discovery exercises, mapping data flows, and helping maintain Fetch's data inventory. This is a 3-month internship starting in January 2027, 10-15 hours per week, and reports to our Corporate Counsel, Privacy. The deadline to apply is Friday, October 16, 2026. In Your Tool Bag: * Strong attention to detail and comfort working with complex, technical information * Ability to translate technical data concepts into clear, organized documentation * Curiosity about privacy law, data governance, and how technology companies manage personal data at scale * Comfort working independently on structured projects with an ability to clearly communicate updates * Strong written and interpersonal communication skills * Discretion in handling sensitive and/or confidential information You have experience with: * Coursework or exposure to privacy law, data protection, emerging technologies, or related areas (e.g., a privacy law course, certificate, or clinic) * Reviewing or organizing technical or legal documentation * Comfort reading and interpreting policies, contracts, or regulatory materials Bonus points: * IAPP certification (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or similar) obtained or in progress * Prior internship or work experience involving data mapping, compliance, or data governance * Familiarity with data inventory or data mapping tools Program Eligibility: * Currently a 2L or 3L actively enrolled in a J.D. program at an accredited law school * In good academic standing with your law school * Ability to work remotely for the duration of the 3-month internship * Ability to commit to 12-15 hours per week for the duration of the internship What you'll gain: * Direct mentorship from Corporate Counsel, Privacy * Real exposure to how a data-driven company develops and operationalizes privacy compliance * Hands-on experience with data discovery, data flow mapping, and data inventory maintenance * Exposure to an in-house legal team for a rapidly expanding technology company   Compensation: At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages.
