Machining Operator (3rd Shift)

Job Title: Machining Operator Reports to: Director of Production Engineering Location: San Marcos, Texas   We have one goal: to manufacture quality magnets! We are looking for exceptional individuals who want to learn, build, and lay a foundation for our company for the years to come.    About this role: A machining operator should be able to diligently follow procedures and meticulously prep material for feeding and extraction in semi-automated machining operations. What We Have To Offer: * Competitive Base * Medical/Dental/Vision insurance on day 1 of employment * Health Saving Account (HSA) with Employer contribution * Employee Assistance Program * 401(k) retirement plan and match program * Short Term Disability (Employer Paid) * Long Term Disability (Employer Paid) * Paid Time Off (eligible after 90 days of employment) * Sick Leave (eligible after 90 days of employment) * Company Paid Holidays Diversity At Noveon Magnetics, we believe our diversity makes us who we are, and we strive every day to build a culture where everyone feels welcome.   What You’ll Be Doing: * Setting up machines to start a production cycle. * Determining the fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications and mount them to machine prior to beginning cutting. * Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines. * Bonding magnetic components in specific orientations to a range of substrates. * Inspecting parts with precision measuring tools. * Inspecting finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputation. * Maintaining machine production logs. * Performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including but not limited to lubrication, cleaning, as well as coolant and tool replacement. * Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Other Duties as assigned. We are looking for someone who: * Pays attention to detail.  * Is self-motivated. * Possesses a high school diploma or GED equivalent. * Has experience with use of calipers, micrometers, indicators, set up blocks as well as a variety of gauges. * Has a willingness to help and fill in wherever needed. * Is able to provide clear and concise communication across multiple platforms.  * Possesses strong analytical, communication and computer skills. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing. * Able to move up to 50lbs. * Possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately. * Can wear PPE. * Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes. * Is capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting and walking up and down stairs.
