Master's in Social Work Internship - 2027 Spring Semester-Minot

  Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is a residential treatment and educational center for youth and their families, a place where we look the most troubled, complex, and amazing kids in the eye, walk with them, and help them become their best selves. Because the Ranch helps the kids that no one else can, we provide unparalleled care, expertise, and presence to keep today’s troubled kids from becoming tomorrow’s troubled adults. The Ranch is currently accepting applications for the 2027 Spring Semester internship opportunities on our Minot Campus. This internship is unpaid. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed professional clinical counselor, an intern actively engages with youth, families, and internal and external resources to ensure the needs and goals of the youths are met. The Masters of Social Work Intern contributes to the treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team by providing individual, group, and family counseling. This position requires a student to be actively enrolled in a Masters of Social Work program. Typical working hours are flexible and based on the needs of the intern. Therapists are typically here during regular business hours Monday through Friday. Group therapies are often scheduled in the afternoons and early evenings, so interns would be asked to help with these groups at least one evening (6 pm-7 pm) per week. The ideal candidate MUST: * Have a passion for helping children and families find success * Have excellent communication skills * Enjoy being a part of a collaborative team * Exemplify professionalism * Be a champion of organization and technology * Be a senior graduating in the next 1-3 semesters (or in a pathway program) * Have the ability to pass a criminal background check, including child abuse The Ranch embraces a strong culture of learning and supports Masters of Social work Interns in gaining experience and skills to obtain licensure within their field.
