Morning Multimedia Journalist

KMPH is looking for a Morning Multi-Media Journalist to join our team in Central California. We are live for 5 hours every weekday morning from 5am-10am. Join us and hone the skills you need to take your career where you want to go! We are looking for a candidate who thinks outside the box and elevates their storytelling with enhanced content on our digital and social platforms. Candidate must be willing to work weekday mornings and fill-in as an anchor as needed. Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, and contributing content to KMPH's digital and social platforms. Skills and Experience: • Sharp news judgment • The ability to tell an NPPA style story • Excellent technical skills • The ability to work well independently • Strong writer with the ability to learn how to produce newscasts to work as a fill-in as needed. • Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record Requirements and Qualifications: • A minimum of (1) year reporting experience is required • Experience with live shots is required • Experience with Live-U is a plus While applying online, please include a link to your online demo reel. The base salary compensation range for this role is $20.12 - $22.12 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
