Internship Description The Museum of Art is offering an internship for undergraduate (Junior or Senior class standing) or current graduate-level students working towards or with a degree in Art History, American Studies, Museum Studies, or other related fields. Recent graduates from such programs are also welcomed to apply. Intern will assist Museum staff with projects involving research of the museum’s collections, exhibitions, and collections care. Responsibilities Work with the curatorial team to research objects in the collection and upcoming exhibitions. Review and organize materials relating to historical research. Support and contribute to the development of interpretive materials. Assist with tracking and recording object movements and locations. Learn to operate EmbARK collections database to assist with object records, associated images and corresponding physical files. Participate in the installation/deinstallation of exhibitions. Complete additional tasks as necessary. Requirements Junior or Senior class standing or recent graduate from an accredited college or university. Have or pursing a degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or other related fields. Desire to work in a museum setting. Education Junior or Senior at the undergraduate level, or recent graduate from an accredited university Area of Study Open to students pursuing degrees in Nonprofit Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Arts Administration, or other related fields. Hours/Time Commitment 15 hours per week/12 weeks; Internships will run from January 25, 2027 – April 30, 2027 Part-time Benefits Membership & Discounts: As an employee, you receive a Cheekwood membership, which entitles you to unlimited admission during regular Garden hours and a limited number of free tickets to special events.
