NDT Trainee will assist the UT Level II Technician with the Ultrasonic Testing
activities while gaining experience and knowledge.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
* Assist technicians with setting up and tearing down of equipment
* Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, calibrations, and overall
upkeep of equipment and facilities.
* Assist with proper documentation and reports on services provided.
* Learn and abide by company policies and procedures.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* In-house plant/shop atmosphere.
* Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and clients.
* Working in plant and/or shop areas around other NDT inspection equipment and
Forklifts moving parts around can cause elevated noise levels.
* Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department
for personal protection.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* US Citizenship required due to contractual obligations
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications is
preferred.
* Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
* Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
* Working in a warehouse environment production machinery with extreme noise
levels.
* Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department
for personal protection.
* Ability to frequently lift and carry 55 pounds.
