The Office Assistant will perform essential clerical functions including answering phones, processing payments, and maintaining statistical records. They will also assist the Center Manager with program coordination, data entry, and general administrative support.
Requirements overview
Candidates must have at least one year of clerical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to type 40 WPM. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with a clean driver's license and background clearance, is required.

Office Assistant (Community Center)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Assume duties and responsibilities as assigned by Center Manager/ Director.
2. Respect the confidentiality of all program services and communications.
3. Perform clerical functions, including answering the telephone, routing calls to appropriate personnel, taking messages, providing information regarding available services, photocopy.
4. Accept payment from clients and process according to agency policy.
5. Assist the Center Manager with program assignments.
6. Type letters, messages, memos, program information, or other communications as assigned.
7. File and maintain records and other Agency materials properly in accordance with agency policy.
8. Deposit receipts and perform other tasks as directed by the Center Manager/ Director or by the person so designated.
9. Keep monthly statistical records or analysis as assigned.
10. Participate in available trainings as related to the improvement of position skills and Agency requirements.
11. Keep records, forms, and other data of direct service, fiscal operations, and administrative services where such responsibilities are assigned.
12. Help coordinate and disseminate information regarding Center programs and activities.
13. Open and distribute mail.
14. Data entry.
15. Punctual and Regular Attendance
16. Other duties as assigned and necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Type 40 WPM
* Computer literate (Word, Excel)
* Minimum one (1) year clerical experience
* Current and Clean CA. Driver’s License and Proof of Automobile Insurance
* Background Fingerprint Clearance
* Drug Test Clearance
* The ability to read and write English and to communicate at the level required for successful job performance.
* Pass Clerical Test
