Product Support Engineer Intern

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a motivated Product Support Engineer Intern to join our engineering team and gain practical experience supporting semiconductor test systems, software tools, and customer-focused technical workflows. This internship is designed for a student who is building a foundation in electronics, software and technical problem-solving. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced Product Support and Applications Engineers, participate in structured training, and assist with troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and automation. The position may be structured as part-time or full-time based on business needs, academic commitments, and candidate availability. As part of the internship, the candidate must be taking, or have completed, coursework in the Linux operating system, Java programming, and Python programming. The role offers exposure to real-world product support processes involving electronic hardware, software, technical data, and semiconductor test environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist Product Support Engineers with troubleshooting, testing, and resolving technical issues involving V93000 test systems and software. * Support the installation, configuration, and basic operation of V93000 testers, engineering software and tools in Linux environments. * Develop and maintain basic utilities, scripts, and test programs using Python and Java under engineering guidance. * Assist with data collection, log analysis, and validation of product behavior. * Apply basic electronic-circuit knowledge when working with test equipment, circuit boards, cables, and electronic components. * Document test procedures, troubleshooting findings, configuration steps, and solutions for internal knowledge sharing. * Participate in product training, technical reviews, team meetings, and supervised customer-support activities. * Collaborate with engineering, applications, and service teams to reproduce issues and verify corrective actions. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Currently pursuing an associate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field. * Currently taking, or having completed, coursework in the Linux operating system, Java programming, and Python programming. * Basic knowledge of electronic circuits, common electronic components, and safe laboratory practices. * Ability to analyze technical information, follow documented procedures, and approach problems methodically. * Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment. * Interest in product support, semiconductor technology, test engineering, software tools, or technical customer service. * Availability to work part-time or full-time, as agreed upon, while meeting academic and business commitments. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Hands-on experience working with electronic components, circuit boards, test equipment, or electronics laboratory projects. * Familiarity with command-line tools, source control, debugging, or software development practices.
