Our world-class Labor and Delivery is where pregnant moms receive excellent maternal-fetal care to monitor, labor and deliver their babies. Our labor and delivery unit delivers over 6,700 babies per year. In our dynamic Perinatal Program, we provide excellent patient and family-centered care to high-risk and low-risk patients. The Labor and Delivery team embraces the organizational mission to deliver quality care and transform care at the bedside with respect, compassion, stewardship, and creativity through our shared governance network. We promote staff development, support team vitality, design reliable and efficient systems to deliver patient centered care. As a private teaching facility, we coordinate care with private OB/GYN, MFM faculty, resident physicians, and certified nurse midwives.  The Labor & Delivery Internship Program is a 13-week didactic and preceptor training that prepares the RN to work in the nursing specialty of Obstetrics. The didactic portion includes High Risk Obstetrics, Antepartum Care, Delivery, Post-Partum and Care of the Newborn.   Labor and Delivery Internship Program starts December 7, 2026 QUALIFICATIONS Educational Requirements: * BSN required    License/Certification/Registration Requirements: * Valid California Registered Nurse License required * American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required * ACLS will be obtained during the internship program   Experience: * 1 year recent acute care RN experience required * Must commit to working in L&D for at least 18 months after the training.
