Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain intern to support daily purchasing, planning, and supply chain operations within the Motors BU. This internship provides hands-on experience working with procurement, planning, inventory management, supplier performance, and cross-functional business teams. The ideal candidate will gain exposure to real-world supply chain processes and contribute to initiatives that support operational efficiency, supplier performance, and continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities Support non-inventory purchasing activities and maintain deliveries up to date Support with vendor setup procedure Participate in supplier performance tracking (OTD, LT, responsiveness) Support cost and spend analysis for electronic components and PCBA Help maintain and analyze inventory levels, safety stock, and consumption trends Assist in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) analysis (review demand vs supply) Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams) Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and process optimization Assist with data collection, reporting, and supply chain metrics analysis Support special projects and other supply chain initiatives as assigned Competences Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Related field Basic understanding of supply chain concepts (planning, purchasing, logistics) Good analytical skills and attention to detail Excellence in Excel Strong communication skills in English Novanta is proud to be an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action workplace.
