ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Internship Program is a prestigious, cohort-based experience that attracts top talent from across the country for paid, full-time summer internships spanning majors and functional areas – from economic research and finance to Cash Services, IT, and beyond. While interns take on a specific functional role for the summer with meaningful work and opportunities to grow, the program offers much more than a single assignment. Dedicated staff mentors help launch your career, and curated cohort programming provides broad exposure to central banking, direct access to senior leaders and industry experts, and dedicated learning and development opportunities. As part of the Federal Reserve System, you'll also build a professional network of peers that spans the nation. The program runs approximately for 10-12 weeks, beginning in mid-to-late May and concluding in August. For this specific position, you will be located in the Dallas office. ABOUT YOUR TEAM: This intern will support the Community Development unit of the Dallas Fed’s Community Engagement and Development Department, the team that builds deep, strategic partnerships with community and business leaders to help shape our understanding of the economy. Community Development is responsible for programs and research focused on advancing economic outcomes for low- and moderate-income people and places in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Support the implementation of targeted Community Development initiatives such as Advance Together, Digital Access, the Texas Impact Capital Alliance and Texas CDFI Coalition Contribute to the planning and execution of outreach meetings and programs Assist the Community Development research team on articles and outreach as needed WHAT YOU BRING: Undergraduate or graduate coursework focusing community development, public administration, urban planning/urban studies, economics, statistics, or related field Strong communication, qualitative research, writing, and analytical skills Experience or academic interest in community development, public policy or municipal research and practice is a plus OUR BENEFITS: Professional development opportunities Broader networking opportunities across District Downtown location with free parking 24/7 on-site fitness center (Dallas & Houston Offices) On-site café and coffee shop WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/ week).
