What you'll do
- Process customer payments and cash receipts, prepare A/R reports, investigate cash application issues, manage online billing portals, and prepare daily cash and credit card summaries.
- Identify improvement opportunities and provide backup for accounting duties and projects.
What you need
- Requires an accounting/bookkeeping background, strong communication and organizational skills, efficient data entry, spreadsheet knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- One to two years in a high-volume A/R environment is preferred.

Contract Lumber is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for our Pataskala, Ohio location! At Contract Lumber we strive to build strategic alliances with our builder customers in an effort to maximize their efficiency and profitability. We conduct our business in an ethical manner always concentrating on providing exceptional customer service and quality building materials at competitive prices. We are dedicated to identifying and solving customer problems through communication, market awareness and innovative thinking.

Day to Day:
Process customer lockbox cash receipts, wire deposits and credit card payments.
Prepare special A/R customer reports as needed.
Investigate cash application issues to solve internal and external problems.
Manage online billing portals.
Prepare daily cash report and credit card transactions summary.
Identify areas/opportunities for continuous improvement.
Provide back-up to other accounting department duties and/or projects.
Skill set:
Accounting/bookkeeping background
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Fast and efficient data entry/keying
PC literate with spreadsheet knowledge
Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
1 to 2 years in an A/R environment with high volume
