The School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at WSU has one of the largest undergraduate programs in the Pacific Northwest, with about 1000 students and 45 faculty members spread across three sister campuses (the main campus at Pullman, and sister departments at Everett, Tri-cities, and Bremerton). Available Title(s): 105F-YN_CS_NPS - Administrative Assistant 2 Business Title: Administrative Assistant 2 Employee Type: Classified Position Details: The Opportunity: The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) within the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA) is dedicated to excellence in education, research, and outreach while preparing future engineers to address infrastructure, environmental, and societal challenges. The Administrative Assistant 2 plays a key role in supporting the department's daily operations by providing administrative, fiscal, and operational support to faculty, staff, students, and departmental programs. As the Administrative Assistant 2, you will serve as a primary point of contact for visitors, coordinate meetings and events, maintain records and departmental information, and support purchasing, accounts payable, travel, and reimbursement processes. You will also coordinate facilities requests, support onboarding and faculty recruitment activities, maintain departmental communications and website information, assist with procurement card reconciliation and inventory management, and contribute to special projects and other administrative activities. Working closely with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, you will help ensure departmental services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with university policies. Additional Information: This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $3,738 to $4,980 | Range 41 (Steps A-M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
