What you'll do
- Partner with JPE Product Line Representatives (PLRs) to define the scope of work for each aircraft teardown, including determining which parts will be removed and coordinating the parts return to Erlanger, Shipment on Ro or scrap onsite/
- Request quotes and review disassembly agreements to ensure they are accurate and complete.
- Serve as JPE’s owner of the Disassembly Services Agreement: before each aircraft is inducted, confirm that the current Statement of Work and a signed Aircraft Exhibit (pricing, location, and timing) are in place, and that JSSI-approved change orders are signed before any additional work begins.
- Monitor the vendor’s performance against the agreement and Statement of Work, including the six-week disassembly timeline, airframe storage requirements, and quality program requirements (FOD prevention, counterfeit parts prevention, and quality management system), and escalate deviations to JPE management.
- Provide the vendor with the Harvest List, target component list, logbooks, and maintenance tracking software access, and approve in writing any scope changes, deviations, scrap, or shipments lacking the required documentation.
- Remotely verify the vendor’s work before parts ship, including removal tags, photographs, packing slips, and packaging, and confirm that certificates of destruction are received for scrapped parts.
- Review vendor invoices against quoted pricing, deposit terms, and approved change orders, and confirm that required insurance certificates are on file before work begins.
- Track agreement deadlines and notice requirements, including the 30-day window to notify the vendor in writing of warranty defects, and arrange onsite audits or third-party oversight when needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all off-site assets during teardown and while stored at teardown facilities.
