Follow Safety Protocols and Procedures Operate power equipment and tools safely and properly Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Follow all company safety policies and procedures Maintain a safe work environment for residents, team members, and vendors Maintain Community Appearance Help ensure the community remains attractive and welcoming by: Assisting with groundskeeping and housekeeping Removing trash and litter Painting and performing exterior repairs Replacing interior and exterior light bulbs Conducting apartment inspections Completing other maintenance-related tasks as needed Support the Maintenance Supervisor Prepare vacant apartments for move-in Perform preventative maintenance Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment Assist with turnovers and community projects Complete other duties as assigned Support Community Operations Distribute community notices as needed Interact professionally with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members Provide exceptional customer service and responsiveness What We're Looking For We're searching for a team member who is: Customer-focused and service-driven Reliable and dependable Organized and detail-oriented Skilled at troubleshooting and problem-solving Safety-conscious A team player with a positive attitude Committed to providing an outstanding resident experience Qualifications Qualified Candidates Will Have: 1 to 3 years of apartment maintenance experience Valid CFC Certification (Type I & II or Universal Certification) is Preferred Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general maintenance Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-call emergencies is required Ability to provide personal basic tools Computer literacy skills High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and materials Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks Schedule 🕒 Schedule: Monday - Friday 🕒 On-call availability is required to support community operations and emergency maintenance requests Build a Career Where You Matter At CAPREIT, you'll have the opportunity to develop your maintenance skills, support a thriving community, and make a meaningful impact every day.
