Apprentice Nurse Program (ANP) | Baystate Health Careers Department: Apprentice Nurse Program Location: Baystate Health, Western Massachusetts Job Type: Student Nurse / Apprentice Shift: Varies Make an Impact with Baystate Health Baystate Health is seeking nursing students to join our Apprentice Nurse Program (ANP) . The ANP provides nursing students with the opportunity to gain hands-on patient care experience while actively enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program. As an Apprentice Nurse , you will work alongside Registered Nurses and the healthcare team, gaining hands-on experience while developing your clinical, communication, and organizational skills. The Apprentice Nurse Will: Provide direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, and elimination needs. Obtain vital signs, intake/output, and other patient measurements. Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing. Monitor patients and communicate changes or safety concerns to the RN. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Support patient safety and assist with additional patient care activities as directed. Qualifications Required Education: Actively enrolled and participating in an accredited RN nursing program. Required Experience: Successful completion of one full semester of clinical rotation , OR Previous experience as an ANP, CNA, MA, HHA, EMT, PCT, Medic, or other applicable patient care experience . Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
