As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:30 AM - 05:30 PMTue07:30 AM - 05:30 PMWed07:30 AM - 05:30 PMThur07:30 AM - 05:30 PMFri07:30 AM - 05:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following established procedures for visitors, deliveries, contractors, and restricted areas. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed. Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with site policies and applicable requirements. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required. Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
