Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $26.81 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:00 AM - 06:00 PMThur09:00 AM - 06:00 PMFri09:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat09:00 AM - 06:00 PMSun09:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government facilities. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as directed by site procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access to government property, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with site policies. Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least one year of security-related experience. Possess a valid armed guard card or license. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Handcuffing certification is preferred. Baton certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
