Job detailsJTC is seeking an entry-level Asbestos Project Monitor / Asbestos Inspector to join our Building Sciences Group. This position is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in environmental consulting while gaining hands-on experience supporting project monitoring and inspections for asbestos, lead, and building demolition projects.This position can be based out of any of our offices in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.What you will do Train to serve as on-site Project Monitor for abatement oversight, compliance verification, and air monitoring activities. Perform moisture intrusion and microbial investigations to identify environmental and health risks. Collaborate directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth project execution and compliance. Deliver accurate field assessments, technical reporting, and regulatory documentation across multiple environmental disciplines. Utilize MA Asbestos Project Monitor and/or Asbestos Inspector certifications to support compliant environmental remediation projects. Perform complex hazardous building materials surveys covering asbestos, lead, PCBs, universal waste, and indoor air quality investigations. Who you are Adaptive and flexible professional with the ability to respond effectively to changing schedules and emergency response situations. Intuitive, solutions-oriented thinker with a consultative approach to client service and problem solving. Skilled at assessing environmental conditions and understanding the broader purpose and impact of remediation services. Comfortable utilizing respirators, safety harnesses, and additional PPE in compliance with safety protocols. Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to support field-based project responsibilities. Bring 1+ year of previous environmental field experience or relevant internships preferred.Hold a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
