What you'll do
- Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Assist with completing daily activity documentation and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment.
- Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom, and take responsibility for completing the duties required to keep the facility orderly.
- Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
- At drop-off or pick-up, foster positive relationships with parents.
- Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent.
- Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential for this position.
- Maintains licensing compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Educational requirements: High School Diploma required.
- Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant.
- Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.
- Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Part-time and full-time positions available High school student assistants – $18.00/hour. Assistant Teachers – starting at $18.50/hour (based on education and experience). Current openings: Toddler Assistant Teacher (16 months-23 months): Monday - Friday: 7:15 am - 12:45 pm (27.5 hrs/wk). Monday - Friday: 7:15 am - 3:45 pm (40 hrs/wk). Monday - Friday: 9:15 am - 5:45 pm (40 hrs/wk). Jr. Preschool Assistant Teacher (2-year-olds): Monday - Friday 12:15 pm - 5:45 pm (27.5 hours/week). KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A Grace Beginnings Academy Assistant Teacher is passionate about supporting and caring for young children in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate models Christ-like patience and grace, collaborates with the lead teacher, and supports each child’s growth in physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. This role helps implement Christ-centered lessons and activities rooted in play and exploration. This is a year-round position.
