As an Associate Premium Auditor, you’ll play a key role in making sure every policy reflects the true exposure of the business it covers. Working under supervision and within established procedures, you’ll examine and verify payroll records, operations, and insurance exposures for low- to moderate-complexity accounts to determine the actual earned premium for each policy period. The data you validate supports ratemaking and workers’ compensation classification review, so your work truly matters. You’ll also be a trusted resource for customers, agents, and underwriters, answering routine questions about audit requirements and class codes.
What You’ll Do
Complete customer audits: Conduct audits across a broad range of customers and industries, accurately classifying businesses and employees for workers’ compensation in line with Premium Audit standards and insurance regulations.
Research and prepare: Use resources such as customer websites, coverage information, NCCI, Secretary of State, and DLT websites to get ready for each audit.
Review classifications: Verify class codes, officer coverage, and claim classifications, and communicate potential class code changes to underwriters.
Document your work: Keep clear records of audit analysis and decisions to support compliance with Premium Audit policies, DBR filings, and Quality Assurance standards.
Deliver customer-centric service: Explain the audit process to customers, respond promptly to inquiries, and build positive relationships with customers, agents, and underwriters.
Support the Premium Audit team: Process voided and reassigned audits, upload PYG payroll reports, assist with PYG reconciliations, participate in the audit phone hunt group, and generate monthly invoices via Adobe Sign.
Grow and contribute: Take part in special projects, NCCI inspection reviews, and departmental initiatives as you build your expertise.
