A-Level Automotive Diagnostic & Repair Specialist
Solutions Auto Group – Duncan, Oklahoma
$20–$40/Hour | 40 Hours Guaranteed | Monday–Friday | No Weekends
You May Already Have a Good Job.
That's okay.
The technician we're looking for probably does.
Solutions Auto Group is searching for an experienced
A-Level Automotive Diagnostic & Repair Specialist
who is exceptionally good at diagnosing vehicles, solving difficult problems, and getting repairs completed correctly and efficiently.
We're not looking for another set of hands.
We're looking for the person other technicians ask for help.
If that's you, we'd like to have a conversation.
Why Consider Solutions Auto Group?
40 Hours Guaranteed
You shouldn't have to wonder whether enough work will come through the door to make a paycheck.
Monday–Friday
Work five days a week.
No weekends.
Steady Work
We own, sell, finance, and maintain our own vehicle inventory.
That means we have a consistent supply of vehicles needing:
Diagnostics
Electrical repair
Drivability diagnosis
Engine repair
Transmission and powertrain work
A/C repair
Suspension and steering
Brake and ABS repair
Normal mechanical repairs
Difficult problems other people haven't solved
You're not waiting around for a service advisor to sell enough work to keep your bay busy.
Diagnostic Freedom
We want technicians who can think.
We aren't looking for someone to simply follow instructions or replace whatever part someone else diagnosed.
We want a Specialist who can take a vehicle from:
Customer concern → Testing → Diagnosis → Repair → Verification
What Does $40 an Hour Mean?
$40/hour is top-performer compensation.
We aren't going to decide someone is worth the top of the range because they've been a mechanic for 20 years.
We're going to look at what you can actually do.
Can you diagnose difficult problems?
Can you understand wiring diagrams?
Can you interpret scan data?
Can you perform pinpoint testing?
Can you solve electrical problems without throwing parts at them?
Can you produce?
Can you get vehicles completed instead of allowing them to sit in your bay for days?
Can you document your findings and stand behind your diagnosis?
If the answer is yes,
there is an opportunity to earn at the top of our range.
Parts Changers Need Not Apply
If your diagnostic strategy is:
“Let's replace this and see what happens.”
This probably isn't the right position.
We want someone who understands the difference between:
A code and a diagnosis.
A symptom and a cause.
Testing and guessing.
Being busy and being productive.
We're looking for someone who knows how to prove what's wrong before replacing parts.
What Makes Someone an A-Level Specialist Here?
You don't have to know everything.
Nobody does.
But you should know how to figure out what you don't know.
We're looking for strong ability in several of these areas:
Advanced automotive diagnostics
Electrical and electronic diagnosis
Wiring diagrams and schematics
Scan-data interpretation
Pinpoint testing
Intermittent electrical problems
Parasitic draws
CAN/network diagnosis
Check-engine-light diagnosis
Drivability concerns
Engine performance
Starting and charging systems
A/C diagnosis and repair
Cooling systems
Engine and powertrain repair
Suspension and steering
Brakes and ABS
Domestic and import vehicles
Modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment
ASE certifications are welcomed and respected.
But certificates don't replace the ability to diagnose and repair a vehicle.
We care about what you know—and what you can do with what you know.
We Measure Results
Solutions Auto Group uses
Tekmetric
for repair orders, workflow, technician time, documentation, efficiency, and production.
Every technician is expected to use it correctly.
That means:
Clocking into jobs
Documenting findings
Recording repairs
Communicating roadblocks
Closing out completed work
We're not interested in micromanaging talented people.
We want accurate information so you and management can both see:
What came in.
What you diagnosed.
What you repaired.
How long it took.
What you produced.
Whether the repair was completed correctly.
If you're a top performer,
the numbers should help prove it.
We're Not an Upsell Shop
Our business is different from a traditional retail repair shop.
We aren't trying to turn every vehicle into a restoration project or replace every slightly worn component.
Our philosophy is simple:
Find the actual problem.
Fix it correctly.
Identify legitimate safety concerns.
Verify the repair.
Get the vehicle back on the road.
We don't measure a technician by how many parts they recommend.
We measure results.
The Person We're Looking For
You'll probably recognize yourself in this description.
You:
Take pride in being exceptionally good at your trade
Enjoy diagnosing problems other technicians struggle with
Can work independently
Want steady work
Don't need someone constantly looking over your shoulder
Understand accountability
Communicate when you hit a roadblock
Take ownership of a vehicle until it's completed
Keep your work area and equipment professional
Help make the technicians around you better
Want performance measured fairly
Want to be treated like a professional
Most importantly:
You like fixing cars and finishing jobs.
Compensation & Schedule
$20–$40 / hour based on proven ability and performance
40-hour weekly guarantee
Monday–Friday
No weekends
5-day workweek
Steady year-round work
Full-time position
We're open to discussing hourly or hybrid compensation structures for the right Specialist. We do not fight over Flat Rate hours.
The goal is simple:
Top-level ability + top-level production = top-level compensation.
Think You're the Specialist We're Looking For?
Then don't just send us a résumé saying:
“I've been a mechanic for 20 years.”
Tell us what you're good at.
When you apply, answer these questions:
What are the three things you're best at diagnosing or repairing?
What scan tools and diagnostic equipment do you regularly use?
What electrical or drivability diagnostics are you comfortable performing?
Approximately how many billed/flagged hours are you currently producing?
What's a difficult diagnostic or repair problem you've solved that you're proud of?
What would make you consider leaving your current shop?
What compensation structure allows you to perform at your best?
Already working somewhere?
That's fine.
You don't have to quit your job to talk to us.
A confidential conversation doesn't obligate either of us to anything.
If you're currently one of the strongest technicians in your shop and curious whether there's a better opportunity available, we'd like to hear from you.
