Position Summary: Knowledge of physiological, psychosocial and therapeutic components specific to assisting the appropriate treatment, and prioritizing of patients. Prepares for and monitors diagnostic and interventional procedures, electrophysiological studies, pacemaker insertions, intra-aortic balloon pumps, structural heart procedures and endovascular procedures. Sets up & breaks down equipment; performs hemodynamic calculations for patient reports. Able to work well in a fast paced environment, while maintaining composure and courtesy to patients and families. Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities) Minimum one year experience as a Paramedic in the hospital or Pre-Hospital setting or related experience. Must obtain Cardiovascular Tech, Cardiac Cath Tech or ARRT certification within 12 months of hire Effective oral and written communication skills in the English Language. Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association Required ACLS certification from the American Heart Association Required State of Florida Paramedic License OR Foreign Medical Graduate with a State of Florida License OR Surgical Assitant/Surgical Technician Certification CVT, CCT or ARRT Certification (within 12 months of hire) Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.
