Carpenter Apprentice

Auld & White is looking for aspiring carpenters to join our team of apprentices. Apprentices will work full-time for Auld & White Constructors on construction projects learning through hands on construction. While working full-time for AWC, apprentices also take night classes twice per week through The Northeast Florida Builder's Association (NEFBA), to learn construction via instructors teaching NCCER curriculum. This is a four year program, with classes starting in August of 2027. Why Apprenticeship at Auld & White Constructors? Select specified type of lumber or other materials under direction from craftspeople, lead carpenters and superintendent. Learn and use basic measuring tools used by the field craftspeople and identify various widths and lengths of lumber. Be able to carry out given instructions from craftspeople, lead carpenters and superintendent. Assist superintendent/lead carpenter with various carpentry tasks. Ensure workplace safety. Observe proper worksite safety procedures. Utilize tools and equipment in accordance with operating instructions/manuals. Report any safety hazards or potential hazards to supervisor. Notify super/lead of any safety concerns for employees or subcontractors. Turn signed work process cards in to NEFBA on a weekly basis. Attend Apprentice classes on a regular/timely basis. Candidates should have the following: Driver's License High School Diploma or G.E.D. Stable job history Good references Dependable to be at work and on time, and have a reliable means of transportation to jobs throughout Northeast Florida.
