What you'll do
- Gather patient information and work with the healthcare team to assess and provide age-appropriate care.
- Assist with examinations, treatments, laboratory testing, patient education, and referrals while following practice protocols.
What you need
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduation from a medical assistant or emergency medical technician program, or documentation from the licensing authority confirming that this education is not required for certification required
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required
- One qualifying credential: CCMA, CMA-AAM, CMA-C, EMT, EMT-A, EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P, licensed paramedic, NCMA, NRCMA, RMA-AAH, RMA-AAMP, RMA-AMT, or RMA-ARMA required
- 1 year of related experience preferred
