Children's Enrichment Specialist

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN LIVES OF OUR YOUNGEST RESIDENTS AND GUESTS UGM seeks a year-round full-time Children's Enrichment Specialist. Job Duties: Plans and oversees implementation of parent engagement activities and STEAM / literacy enrichment activities while ensuring the supervision, safety, and the overall well-being of students served. Conduct reading and behavioral assessments. Implements Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) interventions across all phases of enrichment programming, under the direction of the Clinical Therapist and Enrichment Program Coordinator. Implements a structured and predictable daily schedule. Ensures low staff to student ratios promoting a trauma sensitive learning environment conducive to the needs of trauma affected students. Provide assistance with class rotation, restroom breaks, and taking student attendance. Monitors and reports student attendance. Assists the TCEP in meeting its quality improvement, evaluation, and reporting requirements. Maintains a high quality, safe, and healthy environment in adherence to TCEP Policy and Procedure Track, complete, and communicate all accidents and behavioral incidents with the Afterschool Program Director Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, an Associates in a related field preferred. Previous experience working with students in an afterschool or early childhood education capacity. If capacity allows, this role may have more hours available during the summer. ~ As part of the screening process, you may be asked to provide a pastoral reference.
