What you'll do
- Be responsible for site design of commercial building projects
- Work on site design, grading, utility and erosion control plans, and stormwater management
- Work on projects from start to finish
- Work directly with Principal staff and project managers
What you need
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with EIT registration
- 2 - 4 years of experience
- Ability to prioritize and successfully complete multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environment
- Experience with local jurisdictions and requirements (preferred)
- Experience with site design for commercial and industrial building projects (preferred)
- Familiarity with Civil 3d software (preferred)
- Familiarity with HydroCad, HEC-RAS, Flowmaster, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, and Bluebeam pdf software (preferred)
- A friendly personality with a desire to learn and grow professionally (preferred)

Description:
VLMK is seeking a Civil Designer with 2 - 4 years of experience who is passionate about engineering and looking for a good place to contribute their professional talents and broaden their experience.
As a Civil DESIGNER at VLMK:
You will work with a close-knit team where your contribution will be highly valued.
You will be a Civil Designer responsible for site design of commercial building projects, including site design, grading, utility and erosion control plans, and stormwater management. You will see the whole scope of a project and work on it from start to finish.
You will work directly with our Principal staff and project managers.
You will be part of a team that does food cart Fridays, ski trips, chili cook-offs, running groups, golf tournaments, etc. and appreciates your participation.
MUST have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with EIT registration is required to apply for this position.
Ability to prioritize and successfully complete multiple assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
Nice to have:
Experience with local jurisdictions and requirements.
Experience with site design for commercial and industrial building projects.
Familiarity with Civil 3d software.
Familiarity with HydroCad, HEC-RAS, Flowmaster, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, and Bluebeam pdf software.
