Civil Engineer Intern

Are you looking to gain valuable industry experience? WGM Group has an opportunity for a Civil Engineering Intern for summer 2027 in our Missoula office. WGM Group is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary engineering firm including, planning & design, survey, environmental and natural resource management. As an intern, you will be sure to get exposure to a variety of project types and disciplines to help you grow and expand your knowledge. Role & Responsibilities: Assist on projects involving civil engineering tasks, planning, and design. Produce redlines on engineering documents using Civil3D. Provide survey support as a field crew member completing grade stake computations and marking. Perform construction observation and infrastructure testing for water and sewer. Assist in the preparation of cost estimate quantities. Conduct traffic counts. Maintain project files and databases. Support development of reports, calculation packages, and specifications. Depending on experience, may assist with designing plans for a wide range of projects including public capital improvement projects, commercial sites, and subdivisions. Qualifications: As a valued member of our engineering team, you will have at a minimum: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment. Proactive and willing to take on new challenges. Experience in AutoCAD Civil3D a plus.
