As a Co-op, Engineer at StandardAero, you'll gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence. What you’ll do: Research the viability of a new program or initiative; compile and present statistics. Clean up, edit and update a database. Conduct a failure analysis and investigation. Evaluate and improve efficiency, streamline programs, or cut costs. Perform a study or survey; analyze and present results. Compile employee manuals or develop process directions for tasks. Conduct a cost benefit analysis to upgrade on a specific material/machine. Design tooling or ground support equipment. Work on a continuous improvement project resulting in a measurable improvement. Carries out other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Current enrollment in engineering related curriculum at a university level Must be a U.S. Citizen Desired Skills: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S Principles Project Management Experience with CAD and simulation software Lean Green Belt Certification preferred Project Experience in manufacturing setting preferred The ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints. The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. The ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance. The ability to sit for extended periods of time.
