What you'll do
- Plan games, crafts, and outings for residents
- Encourage participation
- Work closely with staff
- Help create a vibrant community atmosphere
- Assist with and set up activities as directed by the Activity Director
- Chaperone off-site activities
- Assist with the transport of residents to the activity area
What you need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience
- Familiarity with basic software tools for record-keeping and activity planning
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A team-oriented mindset
- Ability toassistwith the transport of residents to the activity area
- Willingness toparticipatein ongoing training, workshops, and seminars
- Willingness toassistwith and set up activities as directed by the Activity Director
- Willingness to chaperone off-site activities
- Empathetic and adaptable
- CNA license is preferred (we will pay for you to get one if you don't have it already)
- Education: a high school diploma

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES SPECIALIST Prior experience in caregiving or activity planning is preferred.
