Consulting Intern - Spring 2027 and Summer 2027 - Sacramento

Position Profile Weaver is looking for a Consulting Intern to join our team. This person will have the opportunity to work within a variety of our consulting service offerings and support our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practice. Our internships serve as a valuable first step in a long-term career with Weaver. By the end of a Weaver internship, you’ll have gained extensive practical knowledge and made lasting connections with your fellow interns, Weaver Leaders, and everyone in between. What you can expect from us: * Training, both formal and on-the-job, throughout the duration of your internship * Hands-on client work, either from the Weaver office or the client’s office * Assist engagement teams with research, analysis, and preparation of client deliverables * Contribute to multiple phases of consulting engagements under supervision. * A warm and inclusive culture that encourages employees to bring their whole selves to work What we expect from you: * Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Economics, Business Analytics, AI Management, Computer Science, Public Health, Public Policy & Administration or related field * Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fluid working environment * Strong communication and writing skills * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including creating advanced charts, graphs and databases * Basic familiarity with GAAP, GAAS and IIA standards * Knowledge of IT controls and how they affect the control environment; COBIT, COSO, and related frameworks preferred  * Basic understanding of Sarbanes Oxley Section 404, and the role that information technology plays in compliance  * Basic understanding of systems infrastructure and security, connectivity, remote access, and data mining * Travel may be required The Weaver Experience Weaver is a full-service national accounting, advisory and consulting firm with opportunities for professionals in many different fields.
