Food Lifeline is seeking a Contracts and Compliance Specialist to help us build reliable, practical systems for managing the agreements and requirements that support our work across Western Washington.
This is a new role for Food Lifeline and an opportunity for someone to bring their experience and help shape how we manage this work across the organization. The Specialist will manage contract workflows, records, calendars, compliance tracking, audit readiness, and corrective-action follow-through for a varied portfolio of government, partner, vendor, grant, and other organizational agreements, as well as broader compliance and regulatory requirements.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing clarity and structure to complex work. This person will notice gaps, ask good questions, follow up consistently, and turn detailed requirements into practical systems and processes that people will actually use. They should be comfortable using technology to organize complex information, automate routine follow-up, and create clear, accessible tracking and reporting tools. Because the role is new, the right person will be comfortable building and improving systems while developing strong working relationships across teams.
The position reports to our Director of Business Operations and will work closely with colleagues throughout Food Lifeline. It’s a great opportunity for someone with experience in contract administration, compliance coordination, audit support, grant administration, or records management who wants to build lasting organizational capability in service of a meaningful mission.
CompensationThe full salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 annually. Starting salary will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. Most new hires should expect to start in the middle portion of the range, with opportunities for compensation growth as they gain experience and proficiency in the role.
